Shriya Pilgaonkar got a chance to work with Shahrukh Khan at the beginning of her career. According to him, if the film 'Fan' had been a superhit, people's reaction would have been different for him. Recently, during a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, the actress spoke openly about her professional and personal life. Let us know what he said:

You got a chance to work with Shahrukh Khan at the beginning of your career, but the film was not successful at the box office. How do you take this experience?

In fact, when after the auditions it was decided that I was getting the role in 'Fan', I knew that this was not a typical hero-heroine film. It was a different kind of film at that time. I knew that my screen time would not be much, but I was very happy to work with Shahrukh sir. Some new experiments were being done, and I really enjoyed the opportunity.

If anyone else had been in my place, they might have thought that they needed a bigger launch, including promotions. I understand it. I just loved being a part of this film.

How was the reaction from the people of the industry after the release of the film?

After the film, many journalists called me and said that they liked my character. It made me feel good that my hard work was appreciated. But it is true that if the film had been a super hit, people's reaction would have been different. Perhaps I was mentally prepared to some extent, because at that time the impact of social media was less than today. I did not have any PR strategist or talent agency at that time who could guide me.

Then I started giving auditions and meeting people. Some films came, but they did not progress. Then I heard that a new series called Mirzapur was coming, and I auditioned for it, which turned out to be a big change for me.

Do you feel pressured while choosing a role because of the names of your parents, Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar? Do you ever feel uncomfortable, like in a bold scene?

No one really ever told me not to do this or not to do that. My parents have always believed in me. When it comes to romance or passionate scenes, it is important that we understand what the intention is. Reading the script and its treatment reveals what the purpose of that scene is. The audience also understands why this has been done. Therefore, I also look at those scenes from the same perspective.

My parents never judged me, but maintaining their legacy, respect and goodwill is very important to me. It is not just a question of the on-screen scenes, but also how I am with everyone on the set. I think we can judge a person when we see how they treat others. Therefore, it is very important to me that I treat everyone on the set with respect and honor. Show up, because that's what helps build goodwill.

What would you like to say about your relationship?

I am currently single and I am really not lying this time. Look, connections matter a lot to me. It should be emotional, spiritual and physical. It is important for all three to be in perfect coordination. I want a partner who is comfortable with himself and is not insecure about his success. It is very important for me that my partner is an energy giver, not an energy taker. And there must be respect.

Both your parents are actors. Are there some advantages and disadvantages of marrying someone from the same field?

My parents kept the balance at the time of marriage. They understand each other's challenges. Both were young when they got married, but the challenges they have faced in their careers have proven helpful to each other. Creative people have always been attractive to me. Only people interested in arts are important to me.
