Accident during shooting of Kannada film: Light boy dies after falling from a height of 30 feet, case of negligence filed against director Yogaraj

A light boy on the sets of Kannada film Manada Kadlu died after falling from a height of 30 feet. The accident took place on September 25 and on Thursday, September 5, the light boy Mohan Kumar succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

According to reports, he was climbing a ladder at a height of 30 feet on the set and lost his balance and fell down. This incident happened with Mohan at VRL Arena in Madanayakanahalli area where the shoot was going on.

Mohan was rushed to Goragunte Palya Hospital after the accident on the set but he died due to severe injuries.

Police have filed an FIR in this case against three people including the film's director Yograj Bhatt and manager Suresh, with a complaint of negligence in security arrangements during the shoot.

Mohan was 30 years old and his brother also works as a light boy in films. The director of the film 'Manada Kadlu' in which the accident happened with Mohan is Yograj Bhatt. Yograj is a well-known director, lyricist and producer of the Kannada film industry.

He made the film Mungaru Male in 2006 which was the highest grossing film in the history of Kannada films at that time. It is one of the longest running films in multiplexes. Apart from this, Yogaraj has also directed many Kannada films.
