Recently, in an interview given to Bollywood UK media, Abhishek Bachchan, on being asked about divorce, showed his wedding ring and said, I am still married.
He further said, I have nothing to say to you all. You all have blown this issue out of proportion. I understand why you have done this. You have to file a story. It is okay, we are celebrities, we have to bear this.
The actor was seen announcing divorce in a deepfake video
Recently, a video of Abhishek Bachchan went viral on social media. In this video shared from Abhishek Bachchan's fan page, the actor was seen announcing divorce. In the video, he said, 'This July, Aishwarya and I have decided to get divorced. The last few years have not been good for my daughter Aaradhya. However, today I am here to talk to you about the reasons for taking divorce from Aishwarya.'
Let us tell you that the video of Abhishek which went viral is AI generated. On closer inspection, it is seen that Abhishek's lip-sync does not match his audio. The video was tampered with to make it a deepfake. At the time when the video went viral, the actor was in Paris to encourage Indian players in the Olympics 2024.
How did the divorce news gain momentum?
In July, Abhishek Bachchan along with his family attended Anant-Radhika's wedding. Abhishek's entire family was present on the red carpet, although Aishwarya and daughter Aaradhya were not with him at that time. Some time after Abhishek's arrival, Aishwarya arrived on the red carpet with her daughter and posed for the paparazzi. Apart from making separate entries, they were not seen together throughout the wedding. After this, when Aishwarya Rai went on vacation with her daughter, even then Abhishek was not present with her.
