Shahrukh Khan's film 'Darr' released in 1993 was the third highest grossing film of the year. Shahrukh Khan, Sunny Deol and Juhi Chawla were seen in lead roles in this film.
Shahrukh played a negative role in this film directed by Yash Chopra. However, Yash wanted to cast Aamir in this role but it did not happen. In an interview given years ago, Aamir had told the reason behind this.
Aamir and Shahrukh have not worked together on any film till now.
Aamir placed a condition in front of the makers
A few years ago, during a Canada tour, Aamir had told Sushma Dutt in an interview that he wanted to work in this film. He also liked the story but to do it, he had put a condition in front of Yash Chopra which was not fulfilled and the director showed him the way out of the film.

Aamir said- I have a rule
Aamir said, 'Yash Chopra is a very good director. I wanted to work with him but I have a rule that whenever I work on a film that has more than one hero, I ask the director to give a joint narration.'
Did the same in 'Andaz Apna Apna'
Aamir further said, 'I prefer this so that both the actors are satisfied with their characters by listening to the story at one place. When I did 'Andaz Apna Apna' with Salman, Salman and I took the narration of the script together. With this approach, both of us became clear about our characters and there was no issue later on.'
Aamir told that Yash ji refused to fulfill his demand. He felt that he did not need to give joint narration and on this basis he removed Aamir from the film.
After the release of 'Darr', the character of villain Shahrukh Khan was discussed more than that of lead hero Sunny Deol.
Sunny Deol was upset after the release of the film
Later Yash Chopra cast Shahrukh Khan in the role of Aamir in the film. Sunny Deol was seen in the role of lead hero opposite him. The film was released and was a superhit but Shahrukh Khan's villainous role was more talked about than the hero. Due to this, there was some sourness in the relationship between Sunny and Shahrukh.
Actually Sunny was not happy with the amount of screen time given to Shahrukh in this film. After this film, he never worked with both Yash Chopra and Shahrukh again.
Years later, Shah Rukh reached the success party of 'Gadar 2' and hugged Sunny.
