The 70th National Film Awards were announced on Friday. In this, Neena Gupta was selected as the Best Supporting Actress for the film 'Ounchai'. The actress has given her reaction on this victory.
Neeta said- I could not believe the news when I heard it for the first time
Talking to Hindustan Times, Neena said- I got this news some time ago. I was happily surprised to know about this. Then I waited for a while and asked the manager to cross check this news again, so that I could be sure.
After that I became very happy and emotional with this news. I am very excited about it. I was also very happy to know about the other winners.
Nita dedicated this award to herself
Nita further said- I would like to dedicate this award to myself because I have worked really hard. This is the result of my hard work. It shows my journey and how far I have come. Results come someday and this award is proof of that.
Nita says- This honour shows that my hard work has been noticed. I believe that if you keep doing it, you will get the fruits someday.
The last time I received two National Film Awards was in the 90s for my documentary. Now after almost 30 years, I have received the award again, which is a very big thing for me.
Let us tell you, Neena received the Best First Non Feature Film award for the film Bazaar Sitaram (1993). In 1994, she received the Best Supporting Actress award for the film Woh Chhokri.
