On July 26, director and choreographer Farah Khan's mother Menaka Irani passed away. Menaka was undergoing treatment at Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital for the past several days. Farah Khan was devastated after the death of 79-year-old Menaka. Now she has shared an emotional note and said that she does not want to mourn any more.
Farah Khan shared some memorable pictures with her mother on Instagram and wrote, 'My mother was a very unique person. She never liked to be in the limelight or to be around anyone. Despite seeing bad times in her early life, she was a woman who had no bitterness or jealousy for anyone. Whoever met her loved her. People who met her understood where we got our sense of humor from. Even if you put me and Sajid together, she was many times more funny and intelligent than us.'
Farah further wrote, 'Not only our family and friends but people who have worked with her are also coming to our house and telling us how our mother gave them loans and money, that too without any intention of getting it back. Thanks to all of you who stood by us in our pain. Thanks to all those who messaged us and are continuously doing so. Thanks to her doctors and nurses of Nanavati Hospital who have given their best in saving her. You gave us a few days to spend with her, for which we are grateful.'

Farah further wrote in the post about returning to work, 'It's time to get back to work. She would have been proud of us for this. I don't need time to heal because this wound will always be in my heart. I don't want to miss her because she will always be a part of me. I am grateful to the universe that it made her my mother and gave us the opportunity to take care of her, as she has been doing all her life. There will be no more mourning now. I want to celebrate her every day. Thank you all.'
Let us tell you that Menaka Irani was the sister of Javed Akhtar's first wife Honey Irani. She married the famous director of her time Kamran Khan, from whom she had two children Farah and Sajid. At one time Kamran's films started to flop continuously, due to which the family had to face financial crisis. To overcome the financial crisis of the house, Farah Khan started working as a background dancer from an early age.
