Actress Taapsee Pannu married Danish badminton player Mathias Boe on 23 June this year. It was a secret wedding. Now recently Taapsee has told that she got married secretly because she did not want outsiders to judge the marriage.
Taapsee told that there were only 100-125 people in her wedding, which included family members and close friends. She told that there was no no-phone policy in the wedding, she had just requested everyone that no one should share the wedding photos outside.
'We wanted to celebrate our relationship'
In a conversation with Fever FM, Taapsee was asked about her marriage with Mathias Boe. In response, Taapsee said that she does not like being called his.
He further said- We just decided to have a grand party and celebrate our relationship. That is why we kept the guest list very tight.
100-125 people attended the wedding
Taapsee told that only 100-125 people were present in her wedding, who were from India and Denmark. About this she says- The people who attended the wedding have been a part of my and Mathias' life for the last 10 years.
Taapsee said- marriage is very personal
Taapsee further talked about not sharing the wedding photos. She said- Weddings are very personal. I did not want any kind of pressure in my wedding. I was not on any film shoot.
I did not want people to talk about all sorts of things when the wedding photos were revealed. That is why I requested everyone that no photos related to the wedding should be revealed.
However, I did not confiscate any guest's phone nor did I hire any security personnel.
Only family members and close friends were present at the wedding
Taapsee said that she did not try very hard to maintain privacy in the wedding. She said- This happened only because I had decided to include only those people in the wedding who knew us directly. There were only organizers, friends and family members in the wedding.
'It hurts for those who don't know Mathias'
During the conversation, Taapsee also mentioned those people who do not know who her husband is. She said- I feel sorry for those people who do not know him (Mathias Boe). I do not even want to tell those people. Because he is neither a cricketer nor a big businessman, so people are not interested in knowing. He is probably the biggest achiever in the world in badminton sports.
Taapsee further joked that it is not the case that she takes Mathias inside or brings him to a public place by hiding his face.
