Late art director Nitin Desai's last project 'Maharana' has been shelved. He was about to make his comeback as a director with this web series. Let us tell you, in the year 2012, he had directed the Marathi film 'Ajintha'.
Last year, Disney Plus Hotstar announced the web series 'Maharana' in which Gurmeet Choudhary was selected for the role of brave Maharana Pratap and actress Riddhima Pandit was selected for the role of Maharani Ajabde. Its shooting had also started at ND Studio in Karjat.

Nitin Desai committed suicide on the morning of 2 July. His last rites were performed at ND Studio on 4 July.
