After the formation of the new government at the Centre, the session of Parliament will begin from June 24. Before that, an important meeting of Congress leaders was held at the house of Congress Party President Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday. The meeting was attended by Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi, MP Rahul Gandhi, General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and KC Venugopal. It is understood that there was a discussion about the selection of Lok Sabha Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
Meanwhile, a decision was also taken on one seat of Wayanad and Rae Bareli MP Rahul Gandhi. In which it was decided to retain the seat of Rae Bareli and resign from the seat of Wayanad. Party President Mallikarjun Kharge informed about this in a press conference. Along with this, he also said that Priyanka Gandhi will contest the by-election from Kerala's Wayanad constituency.
