Supernatural comedy film 'Munjaya' is getting tremendous benefit of word of mouth publicity. The film is consistently earning well even on working days.
After earning Rs 20 crores in the first weekend, the film has done business of Rs 4 crore+ consistently on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The film earned 4 crore 11 lakh rupees on Wednesday. With this, it has collected 32 crore 47 lakh rupees in 6 days.
This collection is even better than the lifetime collection of recently released films like 'Bhaiya Ji' and 'Saavi'.
Abhay Verma and Sharvari are seen in lead roles in the film.
The film is earning well without any star
Despite not having any big star, this film starring Sharvari and Abhay Verma has done good collections. The film also has an extended cameo of 'Baahubali' fame Katappa. It is directed by Aditya Sarpoddar.
It has been jointly produced by Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan. This is the fourth film in the Maddock Supernatural Universe after 'Stree', 'Roohi' and 'Bhediya'.
The story of this horror-comedy film is finally connected to Varun Dhawan starrer 'Bhediya'.
'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' earned only 7.61 crores in 6 days
On the other hand, the collection of Rajkumar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi', which was released last Friday, i.e. on 31st May, is continuously dropping. In the first week, this film collected Rs 24 crore 89 lakhs. However, in the last 6 days, it has earned only Rs 7 crore 61 lakhs.
Rajkummar and Janhvi starrer 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' was released on May 31.
On Wednesday, this film earned only 85 lakh rupees. Now its total collection has become 32 crore 50 lakh rupees. The reason is clear that due to the release of 'Munjaya' and positive mouth publicity, this film has suffered a huge loss.
This film has been jointly produced by Zee Studio and Karan Johar. The film has been directed by Sharan Sharma who has previously worked with Janhvi on 'Gunjan Saxena'.
