New Delhi; Leading News Service: While the developments in the capital Delhi about the formation of the National Democratic Alliance government at the Center are gaining momentum, there are also rumblings about planning a strategy to face the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra.
A meeting was held between Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar at Rajya Sabha MP Praful Patel's residence on Friday. In this meeting, the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections was discussed.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar himself gave the information about the discussion in the meeting to the media. Ajit Pawar said that the meeting discussed about contesting the upcoming assembly elections together and the demand of Devendra Fadnavis to release him from responsibility in the government as per the suggestion of senior BJP leaders. Praful Patel, Chhagan Bhujbal and Sunil Tatkare were present in the meeting. On this occasion, Raver MP Raksha Khadse and Smita Wagh also met these leaders.
