The NDA elected Narendra Modi as its leader for the third consecutive term, with the support of 10 additional MPs









Leader Online Desk: The results of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections have been declared. In this, BJP has got 240 seats and NDA has managed to retain power with an absolute majority of 292 seats. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been chosen as the leader of the alliance in the meeting of NDA constituent parties held in New Delhi on Wednesday (June 5). The resolution passed by the alliance clearly stated that the 140 crore citizens of India have seen the development of the country in every sector due to the welfare policies of the NDA government led by Prime Minister Modi.

The resolution passed by all parties of the NDA further stated that after 6 decades, the people of India have achieved the alchemy of electing a strong leadership with an absolute majority for the third time in a row. The NDA leaders not only contested this election under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi but also expressed pride in winning it. Also, Modi was once again unanimously elected as their leader. It was unanimously said to be committed to the service of the poor, women, youth, farmers, exploited, underprivileged and suffering citizens.

In its statement, the NDA said that the NDA government will continue to work to improve the standard of living of the people of India by preserving India's heritage and for the overall development of the country. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to all the NDA MPs and said that he is thankful to all of them for this decision. A meeting of all NDA MPs will be held on Friday (June 7), after which President Draupadi Murmu will meet and claim to form the government.

Apart from BJP national president JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have been entrusted with the responsibility of holding talks with the leaders of the constituent parties. The 17th Lok Sabha has been dissolved by Speaker Draupadi Murmu. Now, the new cabinet will be formed after the swearing-in ceremony to be held on June 8. 7 other parties with 3 independents and one MP each have also supported PM Modi.
