T20 World Cup: Thrill of Super Over, Namibia win over Oman

David Vesey's all-round performance helped Namibia beat Oman in the Super Over in the T20 World Cup.

Oman set a target of 110 runs to Namibia, tie the match

Oman scored 109 when they batted first, but Namibia could only manage 109 for 6 after 20 overs. Ruben Trumpelman took four wickets for Namibia, while Vicey took three and then one in the Super Over. Jan Freelink top-scored with 45 for Namibia, but missed his half-century. Chasing the target, Namibia batted slowly and suffered the brunt of it.

A powerful performance by David Vesey in the Super Over

The match between Namibia and Oman was decided by a Super Over after being tied after 20 overs. David Vesey did a great job in bowling as well as batting in the Super Over. Vicey scored 21 off six balls with captain Erasmus. Oman needed 22 runs from six balls to win. The captain also showed faith in the VC in bowling. He proved it worth it by taking one wicket for 10 runs to seal the win for Namibia.
