Producer Mukut told Mid Day in an interview, 'We are preparing to make a sequel. I had purchased the rights of the film from producer AM Ratnam a long time ago. We are working on the script keeping in mind all the lead actors and other artists. As soon as the writing work is completed, we will plan further. Who will direct the film is being considered. 1-2 directors are in sight, but no one's name has been finalised.

Mukut also told that his talks are going on with Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee regarding the film. No planning has been done yet on who the new characters will be. According to the information received, the story in the second part will start from where it ended in the previous part.
