Nijjar Murder Case: Three Indians arrested in connection with the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar; Canadian police claim

Leaders Online Desk: Three Indian citizens have been arrested on the charge of killing Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. After Nijjar's capture, a new major diplomatic dispute arose between India and Canada.

In June last year, 45-year-old Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot dead by gunmen near Vancouver, Canada. At that time, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had accused India of involvement in the murder and said he had credible evidence. However, India rejected these allegations. Now the Canadian police has claimed that three Indians have been arrested in connection with the murder of Hardeep Singh.

The police had been watching him for several months. The police believe that India had assigned the job of Nijjar's murder to them. Police said that the names of the accused are Karan Brar, Karanpreet Singh and Kamalpreet Singh. All three are aged between 20 and 30 years. Canadian media reported that three people were arrested in the operation in two provinces, Alberta and Ontario.

The roles of all the three accused in the murder are different

According to the Canadian police chargesheet, all three accused played different roles in Nijjar's murder. One of them was responsible for finding Nijjar's location. The second accused was the driver and the third shot at him. Following the arrest of the accused, Canada's Minister of Public Safety Dominic LeBlanc was questioned in connection with the Nijjar massacre. He has not ruled out the possibility of India's involvement in this. LeBlanc said, “I have full confidence in Canada's security system and the police.” The police have taken the Nijjar murder case very seriously. Only the police can answer whether he has a connection with India or not.
