For some time now, many news have been coming regarding the making of Don-3. It is being told that the film has been postponed. Many alleged social media influencers and trade experts even said that the film is going to be canned. However the reality is something else.
The film is being produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's banner Excel Entertainment. The production team is serious about this. Sources associated with the banner have shared new information in this regard. He told that the filming has started.
Shooting will take place in London and Germany
A few days ago, Farhan Akhtar reached London with the core team of this film. He has gone there to finalize the location for the shooting of Don-3. Apart from London, the production team will also go to Germany. It is possible that apart from London, the film will also be shot in many cities of Germany.
Shahrukh Khan was in the lead role in the first two parts of Don.
Shooting will be completed by December
Sources say that the makers will start shooting for Don-3 after August this year and will complete it by December. This time the command to play Don in Don-3 is in the hands of Ranveer Singh. Ranveer had earlier played the role of a villain in Padmavat. There he played the role of King Alauddin Khilji of Delhi Sultanate.
The first look of Ranveer Singh from Don-3 was released only last year.
The film was announced in August 2023
Farhan Akhtar had announced Don-3 by sharing a long note in August 2023. He had written – In 1978, Salim-Javed created a character. Mr. Bachchan played that character very well. A huge crowd gathered to watch the film in theatres. The name of this character was 'Don'.
Don's story was re-imagined in 2006. Shahrukh Khan presented it with great delicacy. Being a writer and director, I enjoyed a lot while making both these films. Working with Shahrukh Khan in both the films will always be close to my heart.
Now the time has come to carry forward Don's legacy. An actor is going to be associated with it, whose talent and versatility I admire. I hope you will give him the same love that you have given to Mr. Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan. A new era of Dawn will begin in 2025.
