New Delhi : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is in power in the capital Delhi in the Legislative Assembly and the Municipal Corporation, while all the seven Lok Sabha constituencies are in the hands of the BJP. The Congress party is neither in the Lok Sabha nor in the Legislative Assembly nor in the Municipal Corporation. In the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP single-handedly won all the seven seats. However, at that time the fight was three-way, with Congress versus BJP versus AAP. This time 'AAP' and Congress are leading and both these parties have united against BJP and imposed fines.
In the upcoming Lok Sabha, AAP is contesting four seats, while the Congress Party is contesting three seats. BJP is contesting all seven seats against him. Although AAP has announced all its four candidates, its ally Congress has not yet announced its candidates. On the other hand BJP has already announced all its seven candidates. We know all these equations. However, for the past few days, the case of liquor abuse in Delhi has been in the limelight. While the main leaders of 'AAP' are already under arrest in this case, on March 21, 'ED' also arrested party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. AAP was founded on the premise that it was basically an anti-corruption party or a party born out of corruption.
However, such allegations were made against the main leaders of the same party. Not only were the allegations made, but the top leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party were also sent to jail due to these charges. Meanwhile, Rajkumar Anand, a minister in the Kejriwal government, resigned from the primary membership of the party along with his ministership on Wednesday. The party is mired in corruption. I can't live in it. Kejriwal had said 'Politics will change, the country will change', but today it is not the politics but the politicians who have changed. Dalit leaders are not respected in the party. All Dalits feel cheated. Anand gave such an angry reaction after the resignation. It can also affect 'AAP' in elections.
In the past few years, it is claimed that good works have been done in the education sector and health sector during the Delhi Municipal Corporation, Delhi Assembly rule by 'AAP'. This is why the people of Delhi gave Kejriwal government a chance once again. But the people of Delhi who are happy because the Kejriwal government has provided good services in the fields of education and health are also seen to be upset because of the allegations made in the case of alcohol abuse. It's okay to do other things well. However, allegations of financial misappropriation and arrests of leaders do not seem to interest the people of Delhi. This is the point that 'AAP' is trying to convey in its own way and BJP in its own way. We were consciously involved in all these things. In reality, AAP is claiming that the leaders of 'AAP' have nothing to do with the liquor abuse. On the other hand, BJP is attacking AAP on this issue. Arvind Kejriwal has no moral right to be Chief Minister, this is the true form of anti-corruption chattering party. BJP's stance is that the Kejriwal government has played with people's health.
Although it is a battle between two political parties, the liquor scandal is a problem for the Congress. In the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections or in the Vidhan Sabha, Municipal Corporation elections, the Congress had criticized the AAP along with the BJP. After that, BJP has become aggressive in Delhi by forging alliance with those whom it criticized. While the people of Delhi, who are positive for Kejriwal due to many things, seem upset over the liquor abuse case. But, what is in the mind of the people, they will give their vote on May 25, and who will vote for and against, it will be clear in the counting of votes on June 4.
