Following a threat perception report by the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Ministry of Home Affairs has granted Z-category security to Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar. Many political parties including Trinamool Congress are making a fuss at this time. Keeping this in mind, the Threat Perception Report of IB came out, on the basis of which security has been provided to the Chief Election Commissioner.
What security exactly will the Z range have?
A total of 33 security guards are deployed for Z category security. A 10-armed stationary guard of the armed forces stays at VIPs' houses. 6 hours PSO, 12 armed escort commandos in three shifts, 2 shifts of watchers and 3 trained drivers are present round the clock.
