Randeep Hooda's acting in the film Swatantra Veer Savarkar is being discussed everywhere. However, there is one more actor in the film who has emerged as a surprise element. We are talking about actor Mrinal Dutt, who played the role of Madan Lal Dhingra in the film. He recently gave an exclusive interview to Dainik Bhaskar.

Mrinal said that he wanted to become a cricketer, but fate made him an actor. He also talked about his character Madan Lal Dhingra played in the film. Mrinal said that it is very sad that we do not know much about a brave freedom fighter like Madan Lal Dhingra.

According to Mrinal, there is not much information about Madan Lal Dhingra in the public domain. Just got one photo of him, seeing which he threw himself into this role.

Randeep Hooda also liked the character of Madan Lal Dhingra.
Mrinal said that he was shocked when he read about the character of Madan Lal Dhingra. He started wondering why people did not know about this man. He said- For the first time I got a call from casting director Parag Mehta for this role. He said that I have to work in a film with Randeep Hooda.

I was excited to work with Randeep. He told me about Madan Lal Dhingra. Randeep said that he liked this character so much that he wanted to play it himself. We believed that a separate film could be made on Madan Lal Dhingra.

There was not much to read about Madan Lal Dhingra
Mrinal Dutt said that there was not much about Madan Lal Dhingra on the public platform. Very few things were written about him. It was not easy to get into his character. Mrinal says- Only one photo of Madan Lal Dhingra was in the public domain. To get into the character of Dhingra, I started reading whatever little information I had about him.

One thing I understood after reading about him was that he hated the British very much. Whenever he felt like it, he would come and beat the British. In appearance he was a smart young boy. His dressing style and personality were also hero type.

I also talked to the elders of my house about him. Old people were familiar with the name of Madan Lal Dhingra somewhere. When my family members came to know that I was playing the character of Madan Lal Dhingra, they were shocked. He asked me, are you really going to play the character of Madan Lal Dhingra?

Journey from Delhi University to Mumbai
Mrinal said that his grandparents were residents of Punjab. Mother is from Shimla, while father came and settled in Delhi. Mrinal loved playing cricket since childhood. He also played cricket for Railways. With the help of sports quota, he was admitted to Zakir Hussain College of Delhi University. From there his interest in drama and acting increased.

Mrinal said- I started doing street plays. From there I started getting work in ad films. Then someone sent me to Mumbai for 8-9 days. There I had to do two ad films. One day I was roaming around the offices of Yash Raj Films and Balaji Production. Then some creative directors noticed me. He asked me to audition for a show.

I gave the audition and went back to Delhi. When I reached Delhi, I got a call that I had to come to Mumbai. When I reached Mumbai, I was told that I had to stay here for 8-9 months and shoot for a show. This is where my acting career started. People come to Mumbai and struggle. I am one of those few people whom Mayanagari herself called.

Cannot complain again and again about nepotism
On the question related to nepotism, Mrinal Dutt said, 'Nepotism definitely exists. You have to overcome this. We cannot complain about this again and again. We have to work hard ourselves so that we get better opportunities.

It is obvious that it is easier for a politician's son to enter politics than others. A doctor's son mostly makes his future in medicine. Similarly, people in the industry also push their children. There is nothing I, you or anyone else can do about this. Many big stars of this country are self-made. We have to take inspiration from them.

Mrinal Dutt said that due to nepotism in the industry, opportunities are snatched away from deserving people. In their place, non-deserving people get work. These are people who have done 10-10 films, yet you would not like to watch them. However, the truth is that this cannot be taken as an excuse. Have to prove yourself in whatever opportunities you are getting.

People complained behind your back, today you are being praised
Has anyone ever said that you are not a good actor? In response, Mrinal said, 'Nobody has said this to his face, but it has been said behind his back. At that time I thought that I would respond through my work. Today, after working in Swatantra Veer Savarkar, I am getting messages and calls from many people.

Mrinal's role in the film is small, but he has impressed a lot in this small role.

Small town roles are not available because of looks
Mrinal said that his look is a bit urban, hence he does not get small town roles. It is not that those from rural areas cannot play roles. Mrinal says, 'Looking at my looks, I may not get work in web shows like Mirzapur. Although this is not correct. It is not right to judge based on looks. I say, first try giving such roles. My Hindi is clear. I have also done Haryanvi shows. I can also play the character of a small town person very easily.

Mrinal has done many small and big shows before this.

Not sad at all about leaving cricket
Is Mrinal sad to leave cricket? He said, 'Absolutely not. I have no regrets about leaving cricket, I love films and acting very much. When I used to play cricket, my father wanted me to become a member of the Delhi Cricket Association by any means, so that I could get better opportunities. However, fate had something else in mind for me.

Let me tell you one more thing that at the time when I used to play cricket, Lalu Prasad Yadav's son Tejashwi Yadav used to be the captain of Delhi. Moving forward in cricket was a more difficult task than working in films. There was a lot of politics. Well, I have no regrets that I could not make my mark in cricket.
