Raveena Tandon starrer film 'Patna Shukla' has recently been released on OTT. Raveena's husband is played by actor Manav Vij in the film. While talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Manav told that he had never thought of becoming an actor. His mother wanted him to become a doctor. Manav fulfilled his mother's dream. But even after becoming a doctor, he was not satisfied. He had to do something else in life. During the interview, he told that initially he was a little nervous about his character in 'Patna Shukla'.
Manav got the motivation to become an actor from his wife Meher Vij. Actually, Meher is a famous TV actress. But apart from TV, Meher has also worked in films like 'The Pied Piper', 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', 'Secret Superstar', 'Bhoot Part 1'. Manav says that company has a great impact on people. Something similar had happened with Manav also. While living with Mehar, he started getting interested in acting.
Manav gives the credit of his success to his wife Mehar. He said- It is my good fortune that my inspiration is in my house itself.
Mehar and Manav Vij got married in 2009.
Manav was initially a little nervous about his character in 'Patna Shukla'. Actually, he was afraid whether he would be able to play his character properly or not. He did not want the film to spoil because of him. But he worked hard on his character, by reading and understanding the script properly. He told that to play any character properly, it is important that you embrace that character.
Manav Vij wants to work in comedy films
Manav was asked what kind of films do you like to watch as a viewer? On this Manav told that he likes watching drama based films. He was also asked about his choice as an actor. Responding to this he said- I like doing comedy films very much. But based on my looks, I mostly get to do negative and serious characters.
When Manav was asked about his dream role, he said that he does not have any one dream role. They just want to keep working.
Which actor was the best experience of working with?
Manav says that the experience of working with actor Sanjay Mishra was the best. He is an actor with whom everyone would like to work. The experience of working with Raveena in 'Patna Shukla' was very amazing. He likes Aamir Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Saif Ali Khan very much. Talking about the experience of working with Saif, he said that he maintains a very funny atmosphere on the set.
Manav was born on 2 January 1977 in Firozpur, Punjab. The actor, who started his career from TV, got recognition for the role of Mohammad Ghori in the film 'Samrat Prithviraj'. Manav Vij has taken a degree in Homeopathy from Medical College, Ludhiana, but he left the medical profession and gave priority to acting. Manav's first film was 'Shaheed-e-Azam', in which he played the role of revolutionary Sukhdev. She also worked in the famous TV show 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'.
