New Delhi, Leading News Service: Former Aam Aadmi Party MP from Punjab's Patiala Dharamvir Gandhi joined the Congress on Monday. Gandhi is likely to be nominated to the Lok Sabha against BJP's Parneet Kaur.
In 2015, Dharamveer Gandhi resigned from the AAP party and MP, alleging that there was no internal democracy in the Aam Aadmi Party. After praising Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, there were indications that Dharamvir Gandhi would join the Congress. Accordingly, Dharamvir Gandhi joined the Congress. Congress and AAP are fighting against each other in Punjab even though AAP is included in India Alliance.
