In this, Ramchandra Chaudhary was nominated from Ajmer Lok Sabha constituency of Rajasthan. Ajmer is the constituency of Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot. To get maximum seats in the Lok Sabha, Congress had decided to field its senior leaders in the Lok Sabha arena. As part of the same strategy of the Congress, former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh have announced their candidature. In Rajasthan, there were discussions that Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot would enter the Lok Sabha arena.
