New Delhi, Leading News Service: The Congress today (25th) announced a list of five candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, four from Rajasthan and one from Tamil Nadu. In this, Ramchandra Chaudhary was nominated from Ajmer Lok Sabha constituency of Rajasthan. Ajmer is the constituency of Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot. So there were discussions that Sachin Pilot will stand for election from this place. But on this occasion it became clear that Sachin Pilot will not be in the Lok Sabha election arena.
To get maximum seats in the Lok Sabha, Congress had decided to field its senior leaders in the Lok Sabha arena. As part of the same strategy of the Congress, former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh have announced their candidature. In Rajasthan, there were discussions that Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot would enter the Lok Sabha arena. But Ashok Gehlot's son Vaibhav Gehlot was announced as Lok Sabha candidate, so naturally Ashok Gehlot's name was left behind. But there were talks that Sachin Pilot will enter the Lok Sabha arena. Finally, as the name of Ramchandra Chaudhary was announced from Ajmer, it became clear that Sachin Pilot will not be in the Lok Sabha arena.
In the fifth list announced by Congress on Monday, Ramchandra Chaudhary from Ajmer, Rajasthan, Sudarshan Rawat from Rajsamand, Dr. from Bhilwara.
