Chunky Pandey has revealed that he had to struggle a lot in the beginning of his career. There came a time when after working in many hit films, he was short of work. As a result, he had to go to Bangladesh and work in the film industry there. Along with doing films, he also did property dealing work there, so that he could earn a better living.
Chunky has said these things in the episode of YouTube channel We Are Yuva. During this time his daughter Ananya Pandey was also present.
Ananya is Chunky's elder daughter. The name of the actor's second daughter is Raisa Pandey.
Chunky told the reason for not taking Ananya on the set Ananya asked Chunky why he never took her to the sets. In response, Chunky said- Let me tell you why you never came to my set. When your mother and I got married, I was in a low phase. I had just returned from Bangladesh and was looking for work for myself. I never bothered to call you on the set or call your mother on the set and it continued like that since then.
Father advised me to learn acting Chunky also told that he had to struggle a lot to establish himself as an actor. Regarding this, Chunky said- When I told my father about becoming an actor, he said that it is okay, you want to become an actor, but you do not have any acting background. First prepare yourself.
Because of this I went to different acting classes and started modeling to earn money. I was very used to earning money. I tried from 19 to 23. I was rejected from many auditions.
Chunky has worked in films like Paap Ki Duniya, Vishwatma, Lootere.
Worked in property dealing in Bangladesh After not getting work in Hindi films, Chunky went to Bangladesh to try his luck. Regarding this he said- I had blockbuster films. Right after the film Aankhen, I really had no work at all. The only film that I got after the film Aankhen was Third Kaun. After this there was complete drought. Because of this I went to Bangladesh. Did films there. Luckily those films worked. I had made it my home in a way. But yes it was scary, but I didn't stop working.
I opened an event company there. I started doing events. I started doing property dealing, bought lands. I had kept my ego aside and told myself that I had to survive. That's why I did all this, but I also learned a lot in the process.
Chunky said – could not ask for money from parents Chunky said in the end- I was badly broken due to financial crisis. If you are a boy and you have started your career, you cannot go back and ask for money from your parents. I didn't even tell these things to anyone.
