There will be no clash between Vicky Kaushal's film Chhaava and Allu Arjun's Pushpa-2. The makers of Chhaava have postponed the release date of their film. The big thing is that the makers have taken this decision when the film was about to be released after a week. At the same time, it would have clashed with Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' at the box office.
Trade expert Taran Adarsh has shared a post on social media, in which he told that Vicky's film will now be released on 14 February 2025. This release date is special because February 19 is the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Chhaava is a biopic and its story is based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's son, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. In such a situation, the new release date can prove to be a game changer for Chhava.
Vicky Kaushal's film Chhaava was earlier going to clash with Pushpa-2. The release date of both was announced on 6 December. However, later the makers of Pushpa-2 decided to release it a day earlier i.e. on 5th December.
Vicky Kaushal will play the role of Maratha warrior-king Chhatrapati Sambhaji in Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar. This is a period drama film, the teaser of which has been released. Whereas in both Chhaava and Pushpa 2 The Rule, Rashmika Mandanna will be seen as the lead actress. While in Chhaava, Rashmika will play the role of Yesubai Bhosale, wife of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, in Pushpa 2, she will be seen reprising the role of Pushp Raj's Shrivalli.
The highest-grossing film of 2021 was 'Pushpa: The Rise'. Released in 2021, 'Pushpa: The Rise' was the highest-grossing Indian film of the year. Including all the versions, this film did a business of Rs 313 crore in Life Time India and Rs 350 crore worldwide. It is at number six in the list of highest grossing Telugu films.
