Ayushmann Khurrana has recently revealed that his father was very strict. Many times the actor was even beaten with slippers and belts.
Ayushmann also told that he became a father at an early age. He told that after the birth of his daughter he has become a better person.
Ayushmann became a father at a young age
In an interview given to Honestly Saying Podcast, Ayushmann said- I became a father at a young age. When the film Vicky Donor was released, I had become a father. This feeling was very different. Both Tahira and I grew up together because we became parents at a very young age.
Ayushmann further said- The best thing is that I have a daughter. You become a better person. Daughters teach you to be more sensitive.
Ayushmann was beaten with slippers and belt
When asked if he is a different father than his own, Ayushmann immediately laughed and said – I am a completely different father. My father was a dictator. Used to beat with slippers and belts. Certainly the childhood trauma is still there.
I was beaten without any fault
While narrating an anecdote, Ayushmann further said – One day I was returning from a party. My shirt smelled of cigarette smoke. I never touched a cigarette due to fear of my father. But still I was beaten for it.

Talking about Ayushmann's work front, he is currently working in Dharma Productions' upcoming film. Sara Ali Khan is also with him in the film. The actor had also announced that he is also joining Maddock's horror comedy universe. Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal will also be seen in this film being made under the direction of Aditya Sarpotdar.
