Recently a hearing was held in Bombay High Court regarding Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency'. Zee Studios' lawyer told the court that they have accepted the changes suggested by the revising committee. He has also prepared a format to implement these changes which has been submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The Bombay High Court has fixed the next hearing of the case for Thursday, October 3. During this time, the court will take further decision keeping in mind the response given by CBFC. Let us tell you, earlier the Censor Board had raised objections on some parts of the film, due to which Zee Studios has decided to make changes.

What is the whole matter?

Kangana and Zee Studio had filed a petition regarding the release of the film. He had objected that the Censor Board had earlier given a certificate to the film, but banned it four days before its release on September 6.

After this, Kangana had alleged that the Censor Board was not issuing certificate to the film, due to which the release of the film was being delayed. In the petition, Kangana and the filmmakers had accused the Censor Board of arbitrarily withholding the certificate of the film. The Censor Board had given the certificate through e-mail, but refused to give the copy of the certificate just 4 days before the release.

CBFC's side

CBFC lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud told the court that the makers of 'Emergency' had received a system generated mail, in which information about the certificate was given. But later objections were raised on some parts of the film, due to which the certificate was withheld.

strictness of the court

In the last hearing, Bombay High Court reprimanded the CBFC officials. The court said that the Censor Board cannot refuse to give certificate to a film just because it may cause law and order problems in future. The court also raised the question whether the people of India are so innocent that they will believe everything shown in the film.

Lawyer's statement on Kangana's behalf

The lawyer on behalf of Kangana Ranaut's production house had told the court that they will not make any changes in the film and will release the film in the same form as previously approved by CBFC.
