Amit Mishra, the lawyer of the accused who fired at Salman Khan's house, cried while giving an interview to Bhaskar. He has received a defamation notice from Salman Khan.
In the firing case outside Salman Khan's house, the actor has sent a defamation notice to the accused's lawyer Amit Mishra.
Actually, Amit Mishra, the lawyer of accused Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, spoke to the media on September 4. He said, 'My client's family is afraid of Dawood Ibrahim's henchmen who are in jail. They can murder Sagar and Vicky on Salman's orders.' Salman has sent a defamation notice on this matter.
On this notice, Amit told Dainik Bhaskar, 'I had just presented my client's side. I did not say anything from my side, yet a defamation notice has been sent to me to scare and pressurize me. I am a lawyer, but right now I have become a victim. If anything wrong happens to me, then Salman Khan will be responsible for it.'

The families of Sagar and Vicky have written two separate letters. The same things are written in both the letters. Only the name of the complainant has been changed.
It was written in this letter- We fear that Salman Khan can use his power to get Vicky and Sagar killed by Dawood Ibrahim's henchmen. This is because a few days ago Anuj Thapan died a suspicious death in police custody. We request the government to take appropriate action to ensure the safety of Vicky and Sagar.
'If you don't apologize, you will be threatened with a case and talk of a financial penalty' Amit said, 'Salman Khan has sent me a legal notice and asked me to apologize within 48 hours. It is written in that notice that if I do not apologize, he will file a case against me. There is also mention of financial penalty. I am not able to understand on what basis the notice has been sent to me. I had just presented the side of the family of the accused. I had explained to the media what was written in the letter.'
Amit said- If anything happens to me then Salman Khan will be responsible for it Amit said that a powerful lawyer like Ram Jethmalani had fought the case of the killers of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. After this, he became an MP and then the Law Minister of the country. Then what crime did I commit by taking up the case of those shooters, due to which Salman is getting so aggressive towards me?
Actually, the thing is that I am being deliberately entangled in legal troubles so that I get frustrated and leave the case of those shooters. This can be gauged from the fact that on September 18, there was a hearing on the bail plea of an accused, but despite being the main party, I could not go. This is because I am scared and frightened.
I don't understand what will happen to me next. I want to tell Bhaskar that if any untoward incident happens to me, then Salman Khan and people related to him will be responsible for it.
Salman's security has been increased a lot since the firing incident. He currently has Y plus category security.
The lawyer said- I don't have as much power and money as Salman, so I am ready to apologize Amit Mishra further said, 'The constitutional rights of a lawyer have been attacked. Even the media, which is called the fourth pillar of democracy, has been tried to be subdued. Knowing that it is not my fault, still if Salman Khan felt bad with my words, I am ready to humbly apologise to him. I am saying this because I neither have as much money nor as much power as Salman. I cannot fight him directly.'
Salman's legal team said – this is just an attempt to tarnish his name After this statement of Amit Mishra, we spoke to Parag, a lawyer associated with DSK legal firm. He said, 'Yes, Salman Khan is our client. We have sent a defamation notice to Amit Mishra on his behalf. Amit Mishra is openly maligning the name of our client in front of the media. He is saying such nonsense that he has connections with some underworld don.
Now whatever argument they give, but they are the ones who have come before the media and said such things. Now you cannot escape by saying that we were speaking but the words were of someone else, hence you will have to answer.
Secondly, they are not a threat to anyone. They are just trying to malign our client's name by saying such things.'
At present, Amit Mishra has given a short reply to this notice. He has asked for one month's time to present his side legally.

The accused were arrested from Gujarat The Mumbai police had arrested the shooters, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, from Gujarat. Anuj Thapan (32) was arrested along with another man in the case from Punjab on April 26.
