South's superstar Junior NTR aka Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr. is celebrating his 41st birthday today. Once upon a time, 94 kg Junior NTR was trolled by calling him fat and ugly, but today he is so fit that he is counted among the fittest Telugu actors.
Junior NTR has done physical transformation for many films including 'Lok Parlok' to 'RRR'. Junior NTR, who has worked in 31 films so far, is soon going to make his Bollywood debut with Hrithik Roshan starrer film 'War 2'.

Made debut in grandfather's film at the age of 8
Junior NTR was born on 20 May 1983 to film actor and politician Nandamuri Harikrishna. His grandfather is veteran Telugu actor, filmmaker and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. T. Rama Rao.
Junior NTR is also fondly called Tarak. At the age of just 8, he made his acting debut as a child artist with the film 'Brahmrishi Vishchamitra' released in 1991. Tarak played the role of King Bharat in this film directed by his grandfather.

Only the second film got the National Award
Taarak's second film was 'Ramayanam' released in 1997 in which he played the role of Prabhu Shri Ram at the age of 14. This film was awarded the National Award for Best Children's Film.
While studying in school and college, Tarak also took training in Kuchipudi dance. Then at the age of just 18, he debuted as a lead actor with 'Ninnu Chudalani' released in 2001.

Rajamouli gave the first hit film of his career
'Student No. 1', released in the year 2001, became Junior NTR's first superhit film as lead actor. This was the directorial debut film of S.S. Rajamouli.
So far in his career, Junior NTR has worked with Rajamouli in 4 films including 'Simhadri', 'Lok-Parlok' and 'RRR'. All four films were superhit.

Got the title of Mass Hero and Young Tiger from 'Andhrawala'
The success of 'Aadi' and 'Simhadri' released in 2002 made Junior NTR popular among fans. By the year 2004, Junior NTR's fan following had become so huge that a crowd of about 10 lakh fans had gathered at the audio launch event of the film 'Andhrawala' released this year.
After this film, Junior NTR got titles like 'Mass Hero' and 'Young Tiger'.

Got trolled a lot about obesity and looks
While on one hand the fans were embracing Jr NTR and his films, on the other hand there were many people who used to troll the actor because of his looks and weight. The actor was trolled the most for the film 'Rakhi' released in 2006. During its shooting, his weight had increased to almost 100 kg.

Weight reduced by 20 kg for 'Lok Parlok'
Junior NTR changed his image and look for the first time with Rajamouli's film 'Lok Parlok' released in 2007. For this film he lost 20 kg weight for the first time. The film was a hit and the new look of Junior NTR was also well liked.

Father died in car accident, took a break of 4 years
In August 2018, Jr NTR's father died in a road accident at the age of 61. He was going to attend a private ceremony of a friend. At the time of the accident, he was driving the car without a seat belt. Junior NTR's elder brother Janaki Ram also met with an accident on the same highway in 2014, after which he died.

Earlier, on March 27, 2009, Junior NTR had a car accident while returning from the election campaign of Telugu Desam Party. This accident was so terrible that the actor fell out of his SUV. He was treated at Krishna Institute Medical College, Secunderabad.
